When I did mine I did it all with a multimeter. Find the 2 power leads first One is always live the other switched by ignition then switch to resistance to test the speaker wires The speakers make a slight click when you measure across them so you can work out which one is which. One word of warning from memory they are earth return which works ok but not the best for hi fi Also means you have less wires than you expect

I got the speaker wires pretty much straight away (still have to figure out which one is which), I have found the power wires the constant and the ignition, still figuring out whether the red wire is earth, dimmer or something else entirely. I have a feeling the autoelectrician wired the alarm into the same circuit and I am hesitant to screw up. Hopefully tomorrow its ready to be certified, then its back on the road. I think I might just leave it until its actually back on the road.

re-vin, I took it off the road while looking for a new drivers door and left it too long. Finding a drivers door in reasonable condition without rust was harder than I thought it would be. The old one was pretty much toast thanks to an idiot driver, very lucky as the suspension absorbed most of the shock and there was no other damage. I have uploaded a pic so you can have a look,
