Hi there,
Can anyone tell me if the heater and fan controls on the Mu should be backlit when the headlighs are on ? (mine isn't)
And is it a major job to get at where the bulb should be to replace it ?

Mine is not illuminated either 1994 mu

They are most certainly supposed to be illuminated!
Uses a little 5 or two watt globe right in the middle of the fan control panel and is the same as the ashtray light! (thats where I got my spare when mine blew!)
Just rip off the heater slider nobbs and then get a little piece of wire with a little hook on the end to just gently pull the insert out of the dash. I use a screwdriver in the ends just twisted to get a grip but the hook would work better!
When its off you will see the one globe in the middle, just twist it out!
