I killed the annoying beeper this morning! But there are two of them. There's the one that beeps when you're in reverse AND there's the really annoying one that beeps when the key is in and the door is open. I think I can live with the reverse beeper but the other one which is located down under the dash below the fuse box on the drivers side is history!!

On my mu the beeper for the door/lights is down by the accelerator pedal behind the plastic molding, its a white box i think, got sick of it beeping in my ear one day so i got out the multi meter, found out what wire does what and snipped the one for the door, so it still works for the lights ;D

I have also disabled the reverse beeper now. How pleasant the quietness is!! I have a keep-a-key so I will never lock myself out so that is not a worry. My 96 Mu does not have a bell or buzzer at 106 KPH I have had the car up to 160 kph (just for research purposes you understand) and there were no unwanted noises, in fact I was surprised how quiet it was.
