Whenever I go over a bump in my 93 Honda Jazz / Isuzu Mu, even the smallest one, the rev counter drops to zero, then after going over another bump it bursts into life again! Sometimes it dies and doesn't come back, and sometimes it stays on for the whole trip!
Any ideas how to solve this little inconvenience?

You could stop driving over bumps ;D But seriously, it sounds like a lose connection or a cracked wire, and unfortunately unless you are pretty good at electrical stuff it will probaby need a trip to the auto electricians

I've had the same problem recently(except sometimes a bump wasnt even needed), After fiddling with a lot of connections, It seems to have come good after tightening the screws that hold the tracks on the back of the tacho.
