Just wondering as i went for a bit of a thrash today out in wainui on a farm and i was just leaving took it out of 4wh and started to drive off down the drive when i hit thirty my hubs made a massive rumbleing noise... is it normal?? or should i be worryed..?? maybe they need some lube??

oh and i forgot it did stop eventualy but its the first time its happend... and ive had it in 4wd plenty of times b4 this?

Sounds like you need to pull it all apart and clean every thing including having a look at the needle bearing behind the hub unit as many people forget about this, is worth putting new seals in whislt you have it in parts, they are a genuine part though.

Have you got auto or manual hubs. If auto remember that after returning to 2wd you have to reverse for a meter or 2 till you hear a clunk. Otherwise your hubs are still locked. All the above posts may be true but as this started at a 30kph speed my money would be mud or stones in the brake disk of stuck to the inside of the rim putting it severly out of balence
