Hi I bought a nice tidy Mu 2.8 92' not to long ago, went for my first WOF with it and passed, the guy said front left wheel bearing needs tightening and its easy to do. My question is how do I tighten it been that it has manual hubs? Doesn't look as straight forward as a normal car wheel. I had to buy a jack because my truck didn't come with one, when I jacked it up all the way the jack could go, my wheel was still hard on the ground? Heres a picture of the Jack I bought 2nd hand, is it a Isuzu Mu jack?www.angelfire.com/magic2/valor/jack.JPG[Need to copy and paste link into address bar to see picture] And heres a picture of where I jacked it up, is this the right spot? Also shows the wheel I'm trying to tighten up.[/i] www.angelfire.com/magic2/valor/leftfrontwheel.JPGCheers, P.s Love this site going to be handy in the future.

go to the club main website, rather than this forum, www.clubisuzu.com choose the menu workshop --> repairs and mods and dowload the document for wheel bearings. Cheers, James

undo outer hub, and remove, if i remember rightly theres a circlip in there, it similar to a car but instead of bolt and split pin there's a plate with holes and a locking screw, use right size screwdriver or you will have problems, you may need to have impact driver on hand, but in general they are fairly straight forward to do,just do not over tighten,

With the jack you need to place it near the lower ball joint (this is from memory) close to the wheel. For the rear you need to put it under the diff close to the wheel you want to lift.
The spot where you put it is mostly for cars not 4x4's.

for tyre changing the correct place is under the gearbox crossmember as it passes under the chassis rail. Even the std jack will only just lift farenough if you have 31 inch tyres. You will need a block under the jack for laarger tyres
