Has anyone done their front A arm bushes?
I've been working through the front end of my MU don some long overdue mantaiance .... over 350,000 k's on some parts... I've replaced all the moving parts, steering box etc and the on road wander is improving at each step when I find some wear and slop.... I'm down to the font bushes only remaining. I tried Repco because it was convient but frankly not happy with what they can offer $ wise, well over $200 for bushes and have to get them in specially (always a bad sign)
If anyone has done theirs? Where and what great deals has anyone else got?

Mine came from BNT and were less than that and off the shelf. Genuine were also less than Repco. A couple of interesting points though. They were sold in a set of 4 ie both sides. Also the BNT ones were urethane and after a few dunkings stated to squeak. There is no greasable pin available so only answers have been spray every couple of months with crc or ignore the squeak. You might find the mounting pins rusted These are available from Holden.

I'm looking at doing mine soon as well, I have just swapped in a second hand arm for a WOF, but am looking at going nolathane in the future. How big a job is it to press out the old ones, and fit the new ones? Anyone got any tips on the order of this procedure?

Unless you have a press Your best to take the arms off and take to your favorite garage to have the bushes fitted. Then refit the a arms and off for a wheel alignment.

I do have access to a press, I was just checking to see if there were any tips, or things to watch out for when doing them, that may make the job easier. As for the garage day Mr James W, it would have to be hosted somewhere that has a garage , mine is one of those ones that has no walls or a roof , could be a good idea though when it comes to body lift time, confucius say many hands make body lift reasy

I did one of my front lower arm bushes last week due to power steering leaking fluid onto it. In the end I replaced it with a factory rubber Rodeo one for around $30. This is the one thats pressed into the front eye welded onto the chassis so you can't take it elsewhere to remove. A little portable press with the right size sleeve would make this job a lot easier as without it was an absolute pain. Retrospectively I would never have started the job...
James, talking about front ends - I've been searching for details of your front sway bar disconnects and the last link I found is no longer valid. (http://jamesw.kicks-ass.net/4wd/mods/SwayBarDisconnects.pdf ). Do you still have your pdf hosted somewhere ? Even better maybe it belongs on the clubisuzu homepage under modifications. Cheers and good luck with your bushes guys.

Thanks James for the quick reply, I'll have to give that a go. A picture makes all the descriptions a lot easier to follow. Cheers.
