What would anyone here suggest I spray the underneath of my Mu with to protect it from salt etc??
Is there some kind of wax, fish oil etc that I could use so that I don't get all rusted out underneath!
Thanks

The whole thing does have good rustproofing from the factory but if your doing a lot of salt work then there are a few things you can do. Fish oil is good but smells funny on hot days even the deoderised stuff will smell. I had a Corona that I treated a small rust spot with the stuff and 3 years later it still stunk on a hot day Stoped the rust though. There are several commercial product you can use that are good but all will fail if there is any mud etc inside your chassis rails etc. If your Mu has ever been off road you have a huge cleaning job ahead of you Its nearly impossible to clean completly inside the chassis rails but this is where the rust will start

Only plug the holes in the chassis if you can be sure you get them all. The reason for so many holes is ventilation and drainage. If any water gets in it must be able to get back out or our old friend rust will stop sleeping. All Ive ever done to my chassis in the nearly 10 years Ive had it is run a high pressure hose though the chassis every no and then to wash out any mud. Ive also done the same thing after every beach trip. Its amazing how much stuff comes out. The only rust Ive had to tackle is in the front body xmember. This is very common on ubs55 bighorns but I believe Mus dont suffer as there design is different
