I just got a new WOF but they only just passed it on both rear brakes and said it wouldn't pass next time. Does that mean I need new pads or what. Which ones would you recommend. They have been pretty useless since we got it. I once drove a 3.1 Mu and they just about gave me whip lash. This 2.8 Mu's brakes suck big time. A while back they were just about non existent and we had a cracked vaccum line replaced but this time the front brakes are better and the back apparently. They should be evenish shouldn't they.

3 things affect the brakes on this model of Mu 1 hand brake cable Make sure it is well adjusted and free running in the sheths and all the mounting points. Oil liberaly 2 the adjuster inside the calliper Go to the ufixit page on the main site for a good artical on this 3 The slides the calipers run on must be free running One sie is the bolt the other is a sleeve. A good high temp grease can be used on these. The earlier bighorns and mus share the same system with the handbrake operating on the disk In about 96 Isuzu changed the handbrake to a small drum inside the hub for obvious reasons. The disk handbrake can be made to work ok but its never fantastic.

Looking at the part numbers witchdoctor has posted they are the 4WD Kevlar pads which I run and highly recommend.
