Electric winch $599 AU

Has anyone checked out the Aldi catalogue starting June 07.
They have a Torque electric winch, wireless remote hand controller, 4 300kg for $599.00, 5.5hp/4.0kW, reduction ratio 265:1.
Based on past experience with these South AFrican bozo's, there will be VERY limited numbers for sale.

I know its only an ad but what about the shot of the cable looking down the line. I cringed when I saw the pic and was hoping it was "just for illustration purposes" and there was no tension on that line. Pretty dumb place to take a pic from if there happened to be any tension there. To answer your question, yes I have seen the ad and yes, it got the cogs ticking. not a bad deal ey ... lol

hi i too reckon its not badly priced considering the specs it offers although you can still purchase the same one on ebay for 100 less from OZ auctions just go thru WINCHES not bad for a 12000lb generic brand does the job at the end of the day.
