Hi all, I've recently bought a new phone and it turns out to have some OK GPS capabilities built in, and with some added software it does an OK job. One use it will be for me is to record the exact location of any good 4x4 spots so I thought, why not find out if anyone else here has a GPS and has already done this. I was in the Wattagan mountains (near Newcastle, NSW) about a year ago and was playing in a great spot, but when going back there more recently, I couldn't find that spot. Seems a waste not to re-use a great track. So yeah, if you've got any co-ordinates to share, or even maps, let's talk about it About all I've done with my GPS so far is make a couple of street maps for the local area. It's not as good as a $2,000 one which can give directions of which street to turn at to get to a location, but it's pretty damn good for a $388 phone. It's a Motorola A925 from "3". Cheers, Graham.

If there any many members that have a GPS I might be tempted to "hide" some club stickers around the lower north island and post the co ordinates here..
For those that dont have one and would like one ( xmas is nearly here ) I can get the Garmin range at well below retail prices if your interested.....

The GPS idea sounds good. I'll try and remember to plot some waypoints for some good spots around Auckland and post them here and on the Auckland web site.
