Hi all,
I was just wondering what is the capacity of the fuel tank on a Mu. Mine is a '94.
Cheers, Kendrick.

84 litres give or take the odd dent. I actually got my reserve light to come on the other day for the first time ever, and it took 81 litres to fill afterwards. J

I had always thought that it was a 70 litre tank. It was on empty for a long while the other day with the needle having a nice rest at the bottom of the gauge, and ended up putting in 69.5 litres, my record so far . I had been expecting the light to come on and was wondering if it was faulty. So it looks like we can get about 25 k's once the light is on ;D. Cheers, Kendrick.

Big tanks whats the old style boxy bighorns tank size? I know it only took $30 or so to fill from the reserve light back when diesel was about 59c/L. I thought that was about 60L. One of my workmates put over a hundred bucks of 91 petrol in the 92 3.1 bighorn he borrowed... so about 80 odd litres for that?

91 petrol? Do you mean 91 octane, as in unleaded fuel? an "oops" might be in order G.

... back when diesel was about 59c/L ... I remember those days, back when I bought my MU in NZ. The 69 litres I put in the other day cost me $70 over here in Aus. $1.03 per litre . Cheers, Kendrick.

just about all the isuzus have a 83 liter tank Which still hurts at 77c a liter for diesel + milage tax But you can do 800k on that. We all know what you mean by 91 petrol someones being picky

seriously, I don't understand Rhys' post, not just being picky. Over $100 of 91 petrol = around 80 litres. That means it was $1.25 per litre. I'm assuming it wasn't 91 cents per litre, otherwise he must have spilled a bit to get $100 worth out of the bowser! G.

I actually can remember when 91 octane cost 91c and 96 cost 96c... but those days are a thing of the past now... and for the earlier comment... it was a big Oops!
