Some people tie them to the rear floor with a large strap through the already fitted luggage hooks. You can buy or have made a bracket that holds the hi lift to the spare wheel carryer in either vertical or horizintal Theres bound to be other ways as well

Bull bar and towbar make good starting points. You can buy a chain extension for the highlift that hooks under the bumper but not sure if the bumpers are strong enough.

Yeah luggage anchors are usually clustered with ratchet tie down straps (when loaded).
I was more leaning to an external means. The wheel carrier thing was what I was going to use but it would effect my lighting system which is also mounted on the wheel carrier.
Im thinking of bolting it to those 2 chromed panels at the rear above the fuel tank.
Anyone else got any ideas?
cheers

On my Rodeo I bolt the jack to my roof bars using the tiedown eye-nuts on oversized bolts. If you have any sort of roof rack this might work for you too.
As for jacking points, I use my slidders, they are pretty solidly built. At a pinch I can also use my bull-bar as it has a flat bottom, but I dont like doing it as it flexes it a bit.
