Has anyone had problems with the seat back slipping Set it in place and drive along the road, Hit a bump and it moves So I took one of the knobs off to see what was happening inside In 3 of the 4 what ever was superposed to be in there fell out as a course red dust the 4th one had been jammed up with what looked like the remains of some sort of bottle top. Any help is appreciated Ta. Daryle

Both of mine have done this. Easy fix. First clean any polish etc out of the adjustment area Even after owning my car for 10 years the mechanism was still soaked in polish from when it was groomed before buying. Then fit a rubber washer from a hose tap fitting onto the plastic spacer that looks like a bottle top and reassemble. You might have to make a metal washer to space out the rubber washer by a millimeter or so. Only do one side or you wont be able to adjust the seat as it will be too tight.

The hand knobs on my 89 seats were triangular and a push fit on the shaft. Those on my 90 are round and retained by screws.Much easier to tighten.I wouldn't be too worried if the seats couldn't be adjusted once I'd got them right. Harry.

My 89 has the round knobs. The redish washers were foam and mine were in only slightly better condition than Dazzas. Replaceing them with the rubber washer from a female hose tap fitting worked a treat but Ive only ever done one as that was enough to work
