Hi All Just to let you know effective 27 Feb 2005, the speed limit for light vehicles towing trailers will increase from 80 to 90 km/h.
At the same time, the Police will be enforcing a reduced discretionary tolerance of five km/h over any applicable speed limit (Previously 10 km/h)
Cheers Alan

Hey All, Not surprising that this is going to happen, seeing as though truck speeds have been set at 90 for the last few months. The reason it wasn't made public is because of the uproar that it would cause by all the people towing their caravans at 80!!! The apparent decision to increase truck speeds included traffic flow and also because there was indescrepencies between truck configuration, e.g. A-Trains could go 90 but B-trains could only go 80. The public were then reporting trucks going faster than 80 when they were legally entitled to do so. 2 WORDS: BLOODY GOVERNMENT!!! ;D But as Alan said, police have been VERY stringent on enforcing truckies going over 90. I know a couple that have been done at 93 - 95kph so be careful!!
