Probably is the same so why swap anything other than the CV joints. My understanding is that the 88 - 91 bighorn shares all the front end with the Mu I am useing a stub axle from a Mu in my 89 lwb bighorn I took about 20 different measurements to verify it was the same before useing it though. I expect the Rodeo will be the same. The later 92 + bighorns had longer A arms and cv joints. One day I might sit down and work out if this is a doable mod as longer a arms would mean better articulation. It might mean different offset rims front and back though

i think the roller bearing that the cv axle runs on is getting close to its use by date as well the gear that i have got has not done any off road work

That needle bearing ie fairly easy to replace but make sure you do the seal in the back of the stub axle at the same time. The bearing can be got elsewhere but you will probably destroy the markings getting it out The seal is Holden dealer only. They are both reasonable in price at holden. Only things that might muck you up is the number of splines and cv shaft length
