Factory Fog Lights

Has anyone rewired the factory fog light circuits for spot lights?

I am thinking of using the 12V coming off that loom to drive a higher voltage relay for a decent set of spotties.........

as the wires int he factory loom look pretty pathetic.

The only downside is they are independant of the high/low beam circuits, so I guess it would be just as easy to tap off the high beam circuits for the 12v feed to the relays ?

The only reason I even contemplated using this circuit as there is already a switch in the dash for their use, and it would make things

a) very neat
b) very easy.

You should still be able to use the factory switch just run new wiring & relay as desired will get a better result.

I use the factory fog wires for my 100w spotties have had no trouble in 2 years you just cut the wire at the switch and run a new one from the hi beam switch
