On my Honeymoon at the moment in Thailand... Just got here from Singapore and off to Cambodia in a week.
There are heaps of awesome looking 4wds here that we dont get in Oz.
Plenty of Isuzus too!
They seem to be into their mods with a few 6" (Or so it looked) lifted Isuzu Dmax's roaring past me on the main drag.
It is madness over here on the roads No Helmets on Motorcycles, no lane markings, god only knows what the peed limit is as the driver was doing anything up to 140k around scooters.
We overtook one guy carrying a gas bottle on his footpeg on a scooter! I am talking a full height oxy acetalene style bottle here.
I would be unreal 4wding around here with mountain tracks off the road everywhere.
Everything seems cheap too... 30 minute taxi ride is 300 Baht. (12 AUD) 2 Bottles of coke is 30 Baht. I bought a pitcher of beer at the resort expecting a mug... Turns out to be 3 tallies poured into this porcelain Jug! Not bad for 250 Baht.
Only problem is even the locals that speak english are almost impossible to communicate with. They all like to barter though!
"How Much" seems to be understood ok though.
Anyway back to my room, which is almost as big as my house back home. (2 Storeys, Private wet edge pool with views of the whole bay)
I bought my 2L of spirits over with me so I had better get drinking.

Hired a scooter for the last few days and have been tearing around Phuket island. It is havok on the roads but it makes for some great fun.
Yeah I am seriously looking forward to some wheeling when I get back.

I am back.
It was an awesome trip with a few days in Cambodia thrown in.
Heaps of Isuzu everywhere you go in that part of the world.
As it turns out the only place that the locals spoke really bad english was in the resort. Outside it was amazingly easy to communicate.
Anyway now to fix my MU brakes so I can hit some tracks.
