Just about to intercool my mu. Have all the parts for it but was just wondering how and who you guys that have put a bonnet scoop on the mu bonnet saw to get it done and the cost. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks  |

Do you have the scoop??? Most people use Bighorn scoops assuming your yousing a bighorn intercooler. These fit snugly around the intercooler flange. Really its just a matter of measure carfully cut a small hole so you can check the measurements then expand the hole to the correct size and shape.
Couple of quick warnings on the intercooler If yours is a 2.8 no major worries if 3.1 do not try and rotate the intercooler outlet as the bearing inside will self destruct you must use a 3.1 bighorn turbo or very fancy pipework.In both cases the intercooled and non intercooled versions of this engine have the turbo outlet about 30 deg differant just to be annoying.
The 2.8 bighorn scoop is longer than the 3.1 and looks better on the Mu bonnet It also gives more margin of error in the cutting.
