I apologize as my question is probably sub-par for this forum, but I am not a mechanic and I suspect most others here are mechinically inclined. I have a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo and have a problem with this click noise when I pull out of my parking place. As I am backing and I turn the wheels all the way in one direction and begin to back, I hear a click noise coming from the front end. I suspect this is an obvious problem, but unfortunately I don't have the necessary talent to know off the top of my head what it is. Anyone have an idea?
Thanks! Ryan

If the clicking is while your moving with the wheels turned then suspect CV joints. If its as you turn the steering wheel then its a steering part but theres not enough info to sugest more accuratly. It may also be a wheel bearing or front axle bearing. Im assuming this is a 4wd model with the torque on demand system. If not then some of these options dont apply. Lift the front wheels off the ground (think safty while doing this) with the steering unlocked and try turning the wheels backwards and forwards to see if it clicks Also try rotating the wheels left and right to see if the noise happens It should be easy to see where the noise comes from. You say your not mechanicly minded so it might be easier to trust this problem to your favorite mechanic.
