Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my MU and have every bit of confidence in it but....She has 207,000km on the clock, had the head reconditioned bout 5000km ago, ( heaps more power now that its running on all 4 cyl. 2.6L petrol by the way) Wanting to upgrade the whole suspension system, get a snorkel, do a full under body noise deadener application and wondering whether you guys think the engine will last long enough to warrant the upgrade. I have it serviced every 5000km religiously and take great care of it? Views and opinions much appreciated ;D

It is worth it if you have more fun in it. Most cars are never worth the money you spend on them. I just think of it as an investment in my leisure Jimmy

Full engine recons are relitivly cheap on those engines and I have heard of them doing over 300000km. It all depends on the current condition of the engine Does it use oil and does it blow lots of smoke out the oil filler when you remove it. If both answers are no then the engine likly has a lot of life left in it but its alway a small gamble

Thanke geeves, luckily for me the answer to both is no, blows a tiny bit of smaoke when cold and changing gears, but i think the carbie needs adjusting. Jimmu I know what you mean, often people dont take into account the cost of pleasure.

Whatever you do I guess it would be worth it, I once had a 230, which went as far as 399000 km before we parted ways, having acquired it at 150000 km. In terms of maintanance it was the least expensive Isuzu I had ever owned (as such I think petrols are far cheaper than diesels, having had 2 4JB1Ts), although I cant say much about fuel consumption it was, simple put, a guzzler.
