I was told about a fuel additive solely for diesels. I dont know if i can name it on here or not. Friends of ours who run a courier franchise swear by it , its cut their fuel costs down and break downs and thats not bad for toyotas, I just started using it in the bighorn, ill let you know if it makes a difference. It only cost me $20 for a litre which is quite cheap for the amount you use . If someone can let me know if i can name it on here

If you dont name it we wont be able to tell you if its a con or not. Even Toyotas dont break that often so I dont know how they judge less breakdowns.

What about the Fuel Star ones that are around? You fit them after the fuel filter before it goes to the pump. Canister type.

Of Fuel start the web only seems to say good things but Im not convinced. Its designed to leech a certain combination of metals into the fuel which suposidly act as a catylist. It might work

well im back from auckland and around the north island. clocked up 1500 ks, $106 in diesel, trucks running smooth as and pulling up the hills a lot better, im happy with the results . not too sure how to work out how many ks to a litre but the stuff seems to work pretty good

Been using Flashlube for about a year. I found it made a big difference in power and smoothness with a small increase in feul economy. However BP has now brought out Ultimate Deisel which is even better. It's a few cents a litre more but Flashlube is about $20 a litre.
