Bout time I stuck one of these babies on the front of the MU, (thanks to the ATO for my unexpected funds injection). Anyone ever fitted the TJM R9 94 rodeo alloy winch bar to an MU? J

The TJM T15 bolts on, however the only issue ( to some ) is the the ends of the bar do not angle out correclty to fit flush with the guards. You can solve this by fitting a spacer to push then out if you like.
I believe that ARB do a bolt on bar as well, no modes needed.

Yep. that was the only option with TJM, but the front gaurd protection would be nice. I had a chat with Opposite lock in Sydney and asked them if they could do me the same as Yarno's, but they said they would need to do it up in Newcastle and they would need the car for 2 days. I don't believe that is the only option. My next stop is ARB and if that fails I will by a doner bar and get an engineering firm to modify it for me. J

The TJM bar for the R9 rodeo, (T15), works out at $1460 with the winch fitting, but they didn't seem too confident about it bolting on to an earlier model. It is 1790 mm wide which seems okay to me but pricey. Andrew do you actually know someone who mounted one of these? J

Well it appears that they actually make a winch bar for a 94 MU, similar to the one above, for the same price delivered. So I've ordered one, will fit it and take pics if anyone's interested. Watch this space. J

I stitched on a TJM T1 bar from a 2000 Frontera last weekend(thanks to witchdoctor for the mental reassurance re the welding). Side fit and wheel arch angle is great but it had about a 120mm gap at the widest point in the front middle, tapering off to the sides where it fits under the headlights as the Frontera has a rounder snout. Used original centre bar mounts, bent and added a bit to them. Bent the original side mounts around to meet the centre mounts for strength $550 for the bar in pristine condition off ebay and got 3mm polished alloy sheet cut into the recess to make it look like it belongs there for $90 ... [glow=red,2,300]AND[/glow]after all this time, she goes in to the panel shop this afternoon finally ... so in a week or so, should look nearly as good as Justins ... lol ;D ;D

You may laugh but after I'm finished fitting my bar with my mechanical skills your MU may not be the only one in the Panel beaters

'They' is found at this address on the 4WD world site: www.4wdworld.com.au/bbar1.htmAnd the bar I'm getting is actually for the MU 89-95 so they tell me. So when It arrives I will take pics and we'll see how good a fit it is. J

Gee I hope the finish on this bar is better than the service, 10 days delivery has turned into 3 weeks Reckon I could have made my own from recycled coke cans by now.
