I have a question / comment /  along the same lines - but with peoples icons / avatars. The way that internet explorer and netscape load these is they load the ORIGINAL image and squeeze it into the size shown on the forum. In some cases, peoples avatars are 150, 200+ kb!! Now for the people who can't afford cable or the person who clears their cache after each use, then they are downloading these excesively large pictures just to be squeezed down to a 1 inch 2 picture everytime they open the forum. How about you guys do a little image editing (i know that paint can do it) and just shrink the pictures that you use for avatars down a little. It would save loading times for us dial-up peeps ALOT! Well thats my whinge for the day! Cheers guys/gals. |
