With the 2.8 having a thinner track than the 3.1 will landcruiser offset rims be too wide?
My MU has chrome flares that bring out the gaurds an inch or so fiurther than normal which will help a bit.
Going to fit 33x15x12.5 muddies.

Will be no probs at all I had them on my truck with the IFS still in and 33's, they just touch a little on the rear of the front guard and the bumper mount...

Sweet. I was hoping being wider would help them stop touching on the inside.
Now to break some CV's

I picked up the 33's today. Look sweet as. I have not fitted them yet as I will have to modify my garage door to fit the truck under it. One of the less considered problems of going 6" taller than factory.

I fitted the 33's on Saturday. They are a bit loud when at 40PSI. At 34/5 they are ok though.
I am getting a bit of rubbing under articulation on the front mudgaurd mounting bolts / screws. Any ideas how I can get some more clearance there?
Other than that they are great. Thing looks like a monster truck now.
It revs about 200RPM lower at 110 than it did before which is great. 3000RPM always seems a bit high. Acceleration is down slightly but I think it is actually better to drive now with slightly longer pulls in each gear.

A hammer works on them bolts. I used a rubber hammer

I picked up a set of 85% Buckshots on Chrome rims and a 90% spare on a white Sunnie for $750 from the 4WD monthly forum.
Hammering might just work... I was hoping for something a little less destructive though.
