I have the very helpful split rear seat seat up in my 1989 Bighorn, I have never used it all folded flat but think it could be helpful one day. My problem is that the clips to hold the side pieces to the outer sides of the rear uprights are buggered This is where the are. My idea is to swap the broken ones for the good ones in the front edge of the seat base, these ones Or if I can find some good ones in a second hand seat I will replace them. My question is how do you get the sods out??? Can't seem to find how they come out, any tips would be great.

On at least one of mine the lever has just fallen out. Still works so never looked closer. Im guessing on this but they are probably bolted from inside the seat. You would have to carefully open the seat rear panel to see. At the same time replace the thin hardboard backing in there with a solid piece of plywood It will save passengers in a crash. If nothing else works you should be able to put a long bolt all the way through the outer sections. They do clear the arm rests when fully folding the seat just.
