just wondering what other mods people have done to them to prevent them getting tosted in mud and water? with the mu braking down almost every time i take it 4wd im trying to start preventing problems havnt had any problems with mine yet(.... touch wood )

No way of making it indestructytable. People on other forums have experimented with water jets to clean the brushes but dont know how succsessfull. The 2 problems with the isuzu alternator is that its mounted low and has a vacume pump on the back which is for the brakes etc. You must keep this vac pump and there is no room to ount the alternator higher without removeing the air con. The most common mod is to leave the current altenator in place but remove the wireing then remove the aircon and fit a cheaper alternator in its place.Its also easier to get at
