Got an LSD? Get cross-axled and one rear wheel just spins and you go nowhere? The LSD needs torque against resistance to work. Notice the inside wheel chirps when you nail it when turning on take off? Next time you're cross-axled, pull the handbrake on pretty hard or give the brake pedal a good stomp with your left foot when you're hard on the gas. It makes the 4 spider pinion ramp against the clutch plates and lock them up. More torque against more resistance = harder locking effect. The wheel on the ground may have enough grip to get you going. Used to get me out of some sticky situations on club trips, but then I got a front Lokka and nothings a problem anymore! Enjoy!

Thanks for that.I got stuck on one of the beaches on Wgtn sth coast on Friday.Had to stop behind a Suzuki and couldn't get moving again.I left it in gear, running, and only one back wheel was turning.Wouldn't have made any difference but.The chassis was resting on the sand. Both of us had to get pulled out by another 4wd,using about 5 strops joined together.Good trip though. Not off road enough to annoy er indoors.[much].
