Hi guys,
Got an oil leak on my 92 3.1 Bighorn. Looks to be coming from the oil feed pipes but this has been replaced and checked. Mechanic can't see where its coming from but there is oil all over the sump, front diff and front drive shaft. Filter is properly sealed and its not diff oil or ATF.
Can anyone help as it has started to get worse

Usual suspects are tappet cover, head gaskets sump gasket and front crankcase seal. Last one is most likely. This is inside the timing cover and radiator has to come out to get room to get at it. You should be able to gently pry open the timing cover near the top without dismantling too far. If theres oil all over everything in there then the is your culprit. Also replace the timing belt

Thanks for the quick reply.
Oil is seems to be coming from around the oil feed pipes. Just recently had the front crankcase seal and timing belt replaced and the leak was there prior to that. Will check the others (have also had tappet cover seal replaced).

give the engine a good clean all around that area Either comercial steam clean or degreaser and hose. Then go for a short drive and check . Without all the old oil the new oil should be easy to see where its coming from
