Power window - cable type - winding method

My 96 Wizard has thrown it's drivers door window cable out of the cot.

It isn't broken but it has come off the spool.

anyone know how to put it back on. I.e which end of the cable goes on first etc.

Any advice appreciated

Has it completely come off? ie the little nobby thing or things at the end of the cable have come out of the drum ?
