Is there any other way to adjust the handbrake? I took the truck for a warrent and she failed on the handbrake (surprise) . The right hand side is at 120 and the left hand side is at 20. Ive pulled the cables out and lubricated, theyre running freely, the slides on the caliper are free and the pads look to be pretty even on the right and left but still nothing on the left hand side. Its a 1990 bighorn, any ideas would be much appreciated. Im stumped. The main brake performance is 200 on the rear each side

Youve done most of the right things so far. 2 things left to check 1 When you say the slides one of the slides is a tube that the bolt goes through not the bolt The tube needs to be free moveing 2 Cable adjustment. with the brake released the operating lever should sit 0.5 mm from the end stop.

200 is good going. What were the boots over the slides like. If they are shot you can get a complete kit from bnt quite cheaply and just change these boots otherwise relubing will be an every warrent job
