this is what i started with 2x50nominal bore (heavy), 6mm rhs 12mm plate used for base plate & side blocking plates h/t capescrew bolts & 4x 40mm elbows. then comes the home made hayman & reece tow hitch now for the bar & sideplates to be tacked in place.

now to weld on some small plates to pick up the existing captive nuts mark & drill the side plate holes & bend the 50mm flat around the profile. then mount it on.

send it to the powdercoaters for the finished product now to make the plates for the side protectors then with the 40mm nominal bore (heavy) & the 6 elbows lots of welding & grinding was done to produce this: then it was sent off to get powdercoated

hi bruce unsure on the rating but i'd have to say it would out do any standard hayman & reece set up coz i incorporated the same bolting aspects & added 4 more of my own also used heavier steel sections as well. over engineering is always a plus to the cert punk. i have stuck my high lift in where the hitch goes & lifted both rear wheels about a foot of the ground to do a tyre rotation with ease & no flex. as a far as towing i tow my jet ski around & sometimes a 8x5 box trailer but thats about it. tend to use it more for snatchin tho. just got sik of payin people to fix the panel damage all the time now i dont worry as much when you hear something scraping along the rocks or when dropping of a tallstep of sorts. but where does it end now im thinking of adding extra bars to join the rear sill to the sliders then to the front bullbar in other words around the guards they need protecting from the narrow tracks especially when your on angles. cheers muvit
