Has anyone out there tried putting the Moreys Heavy Duty oil stabiliser in an Aisen-Warner 30-40 Auto tranny (97 Bighorn)
I use the stuff in my 3.1 4JG2 and reckon its great. It reads on the bottle that its also good for hydraulics in auto's for extra heat protection, and general wear and tear protection at a ratio of between 5 and 10% (looks awfully thick and gluggy but i guess it mixes with the Dextron ATF)
Im all for protecting things just that little bit more, but was told by an auto trans service tech that he doesnt use after market additives - something about upsetting the properties of the ATF
I think Moreys are a good reputable Kiwi company with great products but would like to hear of anybodys thoughts on the above..........thanks

moreys make a great fuel additive but never tried any of there oil products. I would be scared of putting anything in an auto that affects the properties of the atf except maybe a stop leak The clutches are designed to work with a certain oil mixture. If your worried about heat damage fit an after market oil cooler

Use lucas stop/slip oil. you can buy it from BNT. Have used it in my 93 bighorn auto. Has fixed my slipping problem. Have changed oil and filter and add this lucas oil to it , Has done 40,000k and still going strong. Just clocked 300,000km.
