Ive got a Jackaroo 95 3.1 lt intercooled turbo diesel. Are all the original motors in these 4JG2 cause my identification plate says RJC. Also the part # on the turbo is VIAN 95.. Is the same as a VI95 and if its whining when it stops is it close to a sudden death.

there are 2 4jg2 engines although the differences are quite minor. Main diff is that one has a timing gear instead of a belt. Only way I know to tell them apart is that the belt is inside a simple plaastic cover where the gear has a solid metal casing behind the pulleys.
If you turbo goes Whee when you stop its one of the bad ones Time to start saving for a new one
