I have just had alot of work done to my mu and just got it back today and as soon as it warms up it stalls when u come to a stop. this is the 2nd time its been 2 the mechanic the 1st time i got it back the revs werent coming down when u take ur foot off the trottle so i took it back and got a new clutch, fly wheel machined and real main seal done while it was thier too.
this neva happened b4 i took it to the mechanic in the 1st place. does any1 have any clue on what the problem could be. the 1st time i took it thier i had the seal around the injector pump fixed as it was leaking diesel, power steering box fixed and the clutch slave cylinder done too. i have the 4jb1t engine and i dunno what it could be

Is the clutch set to tight. Easyest test would be with engine off and someone in the car pust the car in neutral then put in gear with clutch pressed. It should be the same

Ill give that a go in the morning b4 it goes back 2 the mechanic for the 3rd time 1 more thing since it came back from the mechanic the 1st time it wouldnt idle steady either, the revs would fluxuate between about 600 and 900rpm the clutch couldnt also be causing this could it?

well the only way i know how to adjust the idle is by the knob inside the car. now this mechanic im startin 2 wish i neva took my car 2 him cause when i got the car back and the revs were holding up he was trying to tell me this was normal for this car when it neva done it in the 1st place. so i dunno :S they have the car again now i hope the fix it properly this time ill post again soon when i have more of an idea on what it is

the idle is adjusted at a screw on the side of the pump. Its quite easy to get this wrong if you dont check that the aircon is off first. All of this has to come off to get at the pump seal so definatly mechanics problem to fix. At least he wont be charging you for getting the idle right

I could open up the list of dodgy words but family members see this board from time to time so we must keep it seemly. Ive already opened it up and changed some words as some of the alteratives were worse than the originals. Also tryed to make the alternatives more suitable for a motoring forum. Spose I could of made this one "sticky substance"
