Sure! I don't see a reason not too. I'm planning the same type of thing.

The filter in the pic aint a K@N. Its eithe a HKS or cheap copy of HKS. If its a HKS then its very very good. If not its probably still ok. I ran one of these for a short while but the bighorn doesnt have a decent flange in the aircleaner so it kept falling off. I then changed to a finner filter and never looked back. True HKS will have a 2 layer foam element The copy only one. Do use the finner fillter brand oil on it and follow the cleaning instructions as req. Foam without oil filters nothing

if thats the style you want have a look at the Simota filters. They are half the price of KN and still very well made. Avoid the real cheap ones ie wildcat etc. They break. Ive heard of a nissan patrol running one of the cheap ones in a competition. 400 spectators heard the loud bang followed by total silence and thought he blew the engine. In reality the end cap had come off and suddenly blocked the turbo inlet. A much cheaper repair than the driver was expecting.

thought it was a simota but couldnt read the logo. They are every bit as good as the KN but apart from pods they have a very limited range where as the KN make a cartrage type filter to fit most cars etc. The Mu airbox takes a pod very easily The early bighorn requires major mods as it has a stand inside the airbox that has to come out to make room

I purchased the K & N filter the one in the top pic should have that soon. and if it dont fit ill cut out the high spot on the bottem and put a plate there that will give me like 40mm to 50mm more room. ;D

i fitted the K&N, didnt have to many probs with it.... i think i just needed a big hose clamp to make sure the filter didnt come off. if your fitting the K&N grab yourself the cleaning kit for it to. the kits are expensive but worth it.
