i fitted a 4jg2 manual gear box on a 4jb1 tc now the clutch is slipping with a new clutch plate, 4JB1/4jg2 clutch cover is it the same?? or what could be the problem

they are a different diameter for the clutch plate the 4jb1 uses a 240mm plate and the 4jg2 uses a 250mm The 4jg2 also uses a higher clamping force. If you changed just the clutch plate and not the pressure plate you can also get problems due to wear marks on the pressure plate needing to bed in. I would never change just the clutch plate on its own. Also when my clutch was done the new one came with a special procedure for lineing up the gearbox. Aparantly there are 2 dowels that must line up but if they dont they can get pushed back allowing everything to bolt up correctly. If the gearbox is off center slipping will ocur

Well i got a solution to the problem; of course i changed the old pressure plate, The release bearing was of a longer size so the clutch was loaded all the time thanks for the help folks
