looks very solid. How much clearance is there between the protector and the center arm at full lock both ways?

Like that idea Harry - can you post exact dimensions for guard and u-bolts etc. Any rubbing at all?
Thanks, Mike

Clearance is at it's worst in the straight ahead position.Get's better at full lock both ways. They were on during that nasty Thompsons trip and didn't touch anywhere. The length will vary slightly depending on wheel alignments.I set them up so that the u bolts are just outside the spanner flats on the rod ends. The u bolts themselves are from 3/4" cable clamps with the excess thread cut off.The centre section is 25 x 10 flat bar.The cross pieces are 30 x 12 slightly offset so the centre clears the lock nuts on the rod.Holes are M12.5 to allow for my old eyes when marking out.More accurate dimensions tomorrow if required. Regards,Harry.

Some of the spacers between the upper arm and the ball joint are just visible in the 1st pic. Harry.

Next weakest link is the center arm. Not so easy to carry a spare one of those in the tool box
