Mysterious Utility

I think the MU name is quite a good one in that most people don't actually know what it is but I think my Mu is a little bit extra mysterious. (and not only because it doesn't have stickers)

This might sound stupid/crazy but my MU moos!
It makes this noise which I have no idea what it is and it is like it talks or something.
It seems to be random in that it makes the noise when it is warm or cold or running or not with/without the handbrake and at varying intervals. I have even heard it in the middle of the night when we were camping!

I would really love to know what this noise is and whether anyone else's MU makes it. It seems to come from the back right of the vehicle.

It really has me stumped and I am begining to think that maybe the Crazy Japs put it there to go with the name or named it after this weird noise. ;D

But seriously can someone please tell me what it is?

Your parking it on the wrong type of grass which is giveing it gas!
Its the vent in the fuel filler cap that causes this. Dont know if it can be fixed. Lots of modern cars do this

Does it only make this noise when you are mooving(pardon the pun)?
Sometimes the rear calipers get a little sticky after a while and it will make that kind of sound in reverse.

Yes the vent in the fuel filler cap sounds right espicially since it is on that side of the car. Thanks geves.

I just had a look and the cap is off a Nissan.

It does actually sound like the sound some brakes make in reverse but it does it when stationary so its mot that.

Well at least I know what it is now, the sound itself doesn't bother me and I can tell people that it is extra mysterious!

I used to have a toyota starlet as a work car that did this It was loud enough to wake the neighbors.
