Hi all,
2.8L T D I got my Intercooler today after about 3 to 4 weeks and it being lost in post the 1st time had to get a new one. But when I took the old air intake system and found alot like I mean alot of oil in the air inlet manafold. What can I do to get all the oil out or just burn it. I have made it so no oil can go though the air intake at all.
And how much gear oil do I need to full my rear diff with a LSD ??
thx kane ;D ;D ;D

About 1.6ish litres for rear diff for my 2.8. When putting in lsd try Redline heavy duty shockproof gear oil first - really makes lsd work bite well. Fit an extended breather tube to the diff - too dear replacing redline every time you drown it. Penrite Limslip 85w140 next best of what I've tried of lsd oils.

The oil in the intake is from the crankcase breather and some of it has most likely been there since the engine was new. Unless oil consumption is high its nothing to worry about and the catch can should catch any new oil. It does no harm but you might as well clean it while its apart.
