Hi all,
I think its time for me to lift my MU but what leafs and where. There is alot available and I dont know what to get. I have been told to get them from repco couse there cheap (but are they good quality). And have allso been told to get Lovells as they are good quality (but not very cheap). So im very lost as I want them as cheap as I can get them but as I have said What and where. I want a 2" lift with sanded duty leafs.

When I was looking around for springs last year for my Rodeo, I wound up settling on a set of Ironman springs - they gave a 40mm lift over standard and seem to work pretty well. There are 3 grades to pick from, I went for the middle as I carry a load sometimes, but the lighter set should work on an MU.
Check them out, they were a lot cheaper then Lovells, and about on par with Repco, but the seller had a lot more info on them and I just felt more comfortable than the impersonal Repco deal

When I did mine the Lovels were as cheap as any other. The Repco Maxtrac spings have been quoted as being a little hard in other forums. Otherwise there is Rainbow springs from Rotorua or EFS springs which advertise in both the NZ 4wd mags. Just down the road in the village of Auckland there are several 4wd shops that should be able to help

Make aure you go the lighter end of the spectrum on the MU. Mine are f**k**g hard.
Perfect with about 40kg of camping gear over the back axle but hard as unloaded.

That pic shows the heavy duty version which you might need to remove the bottom leaf on for a Mu but otherwise ok. The Mu has the same suspension geometry to the 88/91 bighorn so most parts are interchangeable. However if these give 50mm on a lwb bighorn they will give more on a mu. Add to that the amount yours has sagged and you could be looking at up to 100mm from what you have now. My 30mm raised springs were really 65mm higher when fitted ie 30mm raise and 35mm repairing sag
