Very low mileage for a 94 Also very low mileage for turbo failure. Almost all fail close to 160000km. Broken rings at low ks generally indicates severe abuse ie max revs from cold or serious overheating. Worn rings could be due to a lack of maintenance by previous owners but even the badly maintained ones still last to 150k I would be having a look at the back of the speedo for scratch marks that indicate its been tampered with. Might be able to claim something from the seller but dont hold big hopes

4jg2 291 000 kms, all belts and hoses replaced 5000k's ago, the turbo, i think, has done about 130 000k's, but I've only had it for just over a month and 2000 km. So far - no problems.

my mate brought a rough condition lwb bighorn with a 2.8T it had 350,000km on it but had had the speedo disconected for some time. any way it started cough a bit of smoke after a month or to so they replace the motor.

I while ago I saw a bighorn with rusted out body but 410000 on the clock. He had been told the turbo was gone but it was really a leaking manifold gasket. It also had a shot clutch. The truck ran fine a friend bought it for 250 then sold the turbo for 500 and the engine for 1000 on trademe. I think the engine is now in CHCH.

That only tells if a car did tiny milages ie disconected speedo or the speedo was doctored since first reg in NZ. It cant tell if it was right when first reg. newtoisuzu's rego makes interesting reading though with an average of 30000km a year last year but in 2002 it only did 1200km
