Hi all,
I am buying a Mu and test drove a manual today and have a couple of questions:
1) When I was on the freeway I took it up to about 120-125 and started hearing a bit of tranmission noise - is this normal?
2) When I test 4L it popped out back into neutral a few times, either when in first or reverse. After a bit of usage it seemed to stay in better. It hasnt been 4wding in the time the owner has had it (3 years) and maybe longer.
Thanks

Manual or auto? How much transmission noise Theres always some but weather its a problem is to hard to diagnose when we cant hear it. The law of caution dictates that if in doubt walk away Jumping out of gear is never a good thing. The manual does not have a neutral and to my knowledge neither does the auto. This would make me run not walk. There is better Mus out there than this one

It is a manual. At 100 it was noticeable but maybe not if you had the radio on. At 120 it was nothing but noise.
I am getting it checked by a mechanic before purchase so we will see what happens.
Thanks for the advice.

I would save the mechanics fee on that one and look elsewhere
