I have done a 2.5" suspension lift and am about to add a 1" body lift also.
Being a 93 MU I have the alloy 15" wheels.
While I like the wheels I am thinking I may need to go a set with a bigger offset to accomodate the tires. (I have flares on the MU also)
Can anyone share some words of wisdom on how I should proceed?
I dont particularly want to have to cut things to bits or lose my mudgaurds to fit them.
Worste case scenario I will just settle for 32" ers
Thanks
Jimmy

If you are going through the trouble of fitting a body lift you might as well go 2" instead of 1" as 2" is the max legal body lift in QLD.? Also be aware that the tyre might come a bit close to the bullbar mounts in OFF road situations. That my 2 cent worth Best of luck ;D

Before changing tyre size check with the rules from the RTA, my understanding in QLD is 25mm larger in diam is it from the largest size supplied on that model vehicle. I think the largest standard size was 31X10.5 R15. If you go illegal no point paying insurance & good luck in court.
Just my views.

I think it is only 15mm Dave, when I put the Coopers on they were 2mm over, hope Ive worn that off so Iam legal now The MU has plate saying 31/ 10.5 x 15 so there is some leway, on the Wizard the plate has 245/70X16 which means I cannot put the 265/75 16 Coopers on, well legally anyway. Iam not sure if you put flares on if it changes things any more. Anyway dont have a prang or get pulled up by the Traffic DH's and you should be ok ;D Cheers Bruce

I think you can do it legally by adjusting the speedo sender (there are gear kits available for some cars) and getting an engineer to sign it off.
That way as long as the engineer thinks it's safe, you can do almost anything. Monster truck anyone?
