Apparently eth intercooled version of the 4jb1 engin ehas a different oil filter than the rest. I have tried to get a filter to fit my truck since I got it 6000km ago.
It is strange in that it has a seal at the end of the threaded shaft it screws onto. The pipe that pumps the oil up buts on a rubber seal inside the filter as well as its having the regular seal around the outside.
Are ya with me?
I am loosing it over this filter. Has anyone got an idea what th enumber might be? I tried a DELCO pf1298 and it was perfect except there was less thread insude the filter so the pipe hit the seal before the outside seal sealed. It was a mess.
Any ideas drop me a lilne pukinjake@excite.com

There should be 2 seals. The small one is normaly inside the filter and not easy to see. It might be that this has poped out and is sitting on the shaft so you are trying to fit 2 seals but this would be very rare. If your engine is belt drive use a valvolene v056 if its gear drive v053 or equivelent
