Apparently the intercooled version of the 4jb1 engine has a different oil filter than the rest. I have tried to get a filter to fit my truck since I got it 6000km ago.
It is strange in that it has a seal at the end of the threaded shaft it screws onto. The pipe that pumps the oil up buts on a rubber seal inside the filter as well as its having the regular seal around the outside.
Are ya with me?
I am loosing it over this filter. Has anyone got an idea what th enumber might be? I tried a DELCO pf1298 and it was perfect except there was less thread insude the filter so the pipe hit the seal before the outside seal sealed. It was a mess.
