Im overdue for a gearbox, transfer and diff oil change and picked up some cheap oil today from k-mart. its KMX 20w-50 sg/cd for pre 1996 vehicles.
Anyone used this grade oil before or think its unsuitable?

bit heavier than I would use as you could find the syncros not working as well with that oil. I would use a similar 10/30 in the gearbox and transfer but you still need proper diff oil in the diffs. If you have lsd use penright limslip If you have an open dif use the above or any oil that says suitable for diffs.
