I'd imagine someone here would be able to help me with this.
I've had a search through the forum and came up with nothing, so, can anyone tell me where i would find the engine number on my 4JB1-T? and before you ask, yes i did have a good look at the engine myself.
I'm trying to get my MU registered and the bloke who done my road worthy certificate filled in the "Engine Number" field with "Not Visible" Needless to say, the RTA did not accept that.
Very Slack - Cost me my booking fee at the registration office.
Now the prick says i have to find it for him and then he'll write it on the form for me. I wont mention his company name, but if anyone gets anything done to their car in Thomastown, Melbourne, and you go somewhere near Commercial drive, like the place on the corner.. don't go there any more.
His inital words before doing the road worthy for me was, "Bring it down to me, i'll write up the roady and tell you what is wrong with it, then you can register it, and take it off the road and work on it."
An agreement made because i couldn't afford to spend what needed to be spent on it to get it roadworthy. not a problem for me as i knew it'd only take me a fortnight for me to be sweet financially again, and i have more then 1 car to drive around.
So i dropped it off, he called me later and asked me to come pick it up, i get there... he hands me the pink slip, not the green one.. and says "Six things need doing for road worthy, you've got seven days, when would you like me to start work on it?"
Like i was born yesterday.
So i took it home and done the work myself and went poor for a fortnight, and now i lose more money thanks to him filling out the form incorrectly!!!
Not a happy customer..
Appologies for the rant, but i had to get it off my chest.
Cheers for any help.
