Do all Irmsher 3.1 Bighorns come with a LSD stock in the front? Checked the rear one in Dad's truck, then out of interest jacked up the front aswell. Both wheels spin in the same direction when you rotate them by hand. Is this a normal fitment or possibly a factory option?

Haha, thankyou for warning me. I will remove it asap and contact you for delivery details ;D
We've got 2 bighorns and parts bighorn and was just checking the differences between them all. Quite surprised at the front LSD.

I think it should be sent to the lab for testing, I'll take it in for you!....
But seriously.... It is possible I suppose if you had a bad bearing or gear that both wheels could go in the same direction. The confirmation would be with some help spin the two wheels and see if they are bound together or it's just a loose coupling. It could be a lincoln locker... i.e. welded
All the same I'm watching with interest...

Well Dad was holding one side and I was on the other. Couldn't make the wheels spin in opposite directions...
Im sure its not a locker because when your in 4wd it doesn't "skid" the tyres when turning at low speed. Im pretty sure there is an element of slip there. Might have to rip it out and see.

Does anybody know if the LSD out of the rear of a 1996 Japanese spec Trooper will fit in the front axle??
As i'm thinking of getting a locker for the rear axle, and it would be so sweet if the factory fit LSD went into the front!!

Might get away with fitting a rear lsd from an earlier bighorn (87 - 91 model) You may have a little trouble finding one though

If you are looking for a rear lsd, check the links icon above and click onto Bits for isuzu, or I think it's proper name is Truck bits, Onehunga, Auckland. They supplied me with a good slippery for $450 delivered (incl GST) to Chch - a good price given Chch wreckers wanted $650-770 for the same part.
Just make sure you have correct diff ratio, 4.3 or 4.5ish. Also ask for their best Isuzu club price - makes a good difference. Mike.
