Im due for new tyres soon and wonder if 33s will go ok on a 2.6 petrol manual. Came stock with 28.5 mts (still in the shed if anyone wants them -2 new 2 1/2 worn) with the speedo accurate. Now has 31 x 10.5 and speedo is about 8 ks out at 100. According to the calculator on 4wd bits 33s will put my speedo out by 15%. All very interesting but will a 2.6 petrol handle it ok. Ute is used for farm work including towing a tandem trailer with stock crate but doesn't do trails. Thinking of 33s for a tad more clearance when I hit wet or rocky paddocks. Would love to throw a V8 at it but that won't happen. Any thoughts

It should work but will knock the power and braking by a similar amount. Power means useing a lower gear sooner on hills but brakes not so easy. Is the trailer braked or unbraked? If unbraked I would stick to the 31s
